This book is from 2015 or 2016, not 2 years but more like 6 or 7 years old. gulp.js latest release is from 2019, it is still getting commits on github though. It is not bad, but probably less and less people use it.

a while ago, which are doing the same thing but written in go (so native speed) runs on window.mac.linux. Having a built-in dev-server with live-reload capabilities as well. Docs are good online. Also not being updated since 2019, but you also do not need to install a huge node_modules folder (like with gulp).

@dikk bro can suggest which is better gulp or grunt some people are saying grunt is good?
